“Before & After : How I Fell in Love with sketching”

 

Post 2: From Lockdown Hobby to Passion

During the lockdown, I started sketching every day. At first, I just copied simple drawings from books and YouTube. But slowly, I began to understand proportions, shading, and detailing.

Every day, I would sit with my sketchbook and draw for hours. Some days were frustrating, and I felt like giving up. But then I remembered my grandpa’s words:

• “Just let your hands follow your heart.”

* So, I continued.*

Months passed, and my sketches started looking better and more detailed. The happiness I felt when I completed a drawing was unmatched.

Now, sketching is no longer just a hobby for me. It’s a part of who I am.

When I show my grandpa my sketches now, he smiles proudly and says, “You’ve become better than me.” But I know the truth—if it weren’t for him, I would have never started.
